David's First Fish

This picture has nothing to do with fishing, but everything to do with our silly David boy!  This is David pretending to be a dog (one of his most favorite past times).  He LOVES to pretend to be all kinds of animals (dogs, cats, tigers, ducks, monkeys).  It's so fun to see the kids' personalities as they grow!  Love this little boy!  I sure am one lucky momma!

David LOVES going fishing with Brett.  He gets to take his little camp chair (that looks like a frog) and a snack and go hang out and run around outside!  He couldn't ask for a more perfect day than the days he gets to go fishing (or pishing as he says).  Up until a month ago he didn't even know that fishing involved fish!  David and Brett finally caught their first fish together.  David was pretty scared of his fish.  He would even let Brett take a picture of him with it while they were at the pond, but I convinced him to let me snap a couple of pictures when they got home.  Here's David with his fish in the cooler (as well as his cool owies from falling while running to lunch at the school--yep, it's a Hitler mustache).
And David and his dad with their fish.  While David was pretty scared of the fish, he was pretty excited to eat them!  Brett told him after they caught them that mom would cook them for dinner and we could eat them.  So the day after they caught them I cooked them up.  The whole time David told me that we were eating his fish for dinner.  David loved them.   They were delicious!
