I can't believe my baby is 5 months old! The kids just keep growing and growing!

Sleeping on his belly

Some things about our little guy this last month...

 

Started solids--I wanted to wait until 6 months, but he was grabbing food of my plate and getting upset when we were all eating and he wasn't. I guess he was ready!

 

Started rolling from back to front.

 

Sleeps on his belly... I was looking at buying some new swaddle blankets because being swaddled was the only way he would stay asleep all night, but he was getting too big for his receiving blankets. Then he decided to roll over and sleep on his belly. No more swaddling and still a great sleeper! :)

 

He's figuring out how to move all over the place--I wouldn't really call it scooting and it's definitely not crawling, but I can turn away for a moment and he's turned in a circle or moved several feet across the floor. He's very determined.

 

He LOVES to laugh and we LOVE it when he laughs!

He is super ticklish and will giggle and giggle! It's the best sound in the world and I adore his sweet laugh. He also greets me with the {best} smiles!

 

He slobbers all over everything, puts everything in his mouth, and is quite the spitter so we are always wet and quite frequently smelly. I wonder if he'll get teeth earlier than his big brother and sister did...

 

He's still my big boy! At 5 months he is almost the size the other 2 were at a year! He might be my first baby to outgrow his infant car seat before I move him to a convertible.
